Jennifer Williams - color

This is a picture I did as a commission for a friend. The character is a shadow manipulator, who flies on a disk of shadow that she creates. Her costume is also a shadow creation. I have to say, Im pretty happy with this drawing. I added the buildings in the background so that she wouldnt just be on a plain background, and Im really happy with how they came out, too. I used to obsess about rendering every little detail in backgrounds, and it drove me insane (and took forever). I simplified the buildings, and they look good, took less time, and I have my sanity! (Or however much I started with, anyway)
